Choose a monthly or every-2-months subscription and we'll send you a new electronics kit with each delivery. You'll automatically be billed according to the subscription plan you choose, and we'll notify you by email a few days before each billing cycle. You can pause, resume, or cancel your subscription at any time using your Subscription Management page.

All the tools you need are included as you progress through the subscription, starting with the essentials and progressing to additional tools and materials as you need them. Already have soldering tools? You can also subscribe without the tools and just receive the electronics kits with a lower subscription cost. The subscription has been designed to take you from the basics of electronics and soldering through to more advanced projects, with each kit building on the skills you've developed along the way.

You'll start with simpler projects that introduce the fundamentals, then gradually move on to more complex circuits, components and techniques. As you progress, you'll encounter a wider range of components and learn how they work together to create increasingly interesting and functional projects. You'll also receive new electronics tools as you progress and learn how to use them (more info on this below).

The aim isn't just to build a collection of kits — it's to build your skills and confidence with every project. Each new kit gives you an opportunity to:

• Learn new electronics concepts and techniques.
• Develop your soldering and assembly skills.
• Work with different components and circuits.
• Build on skills learned in previous projects.
• Take on progressively more challenging projects.

By working through the sequence, you'll gradually develop the knowledge and practical skills to understand what you're building rather than simply following instructions.

As you progress through the subscription, your toolkit grows with you. Each time a new tool or material is needed for the projects ahead, it's included with your subscription — so you're gradually building a more complete electronics toolkit as you build your skills. This means you won't have to try to figure out what tools you need, since we've already done this for you.

You'll start with the essentials (a soldering iron and solder wire) and add to your toolkit as you progress, meaning you won't need to buy a whole collection of tools upfront. Along with tools, you'll also receive regular top-ups of solder wire to ensure you have enough for every kit you receive.

The kits, tools and materials included with each delivery are detailed below. As you progress, your toolkit grows alongside your skills, with new tools and materials added when they're needed.

Your subscription starts with the essential tools you'll use throughout the series: a soldering iron and solder wire. Build a retro-style arcade game featuring Snake, Tetris and more. It's straightforward to assemble and makes a fun project to play with, making it an excellent starting point, particularly for younger builders.

• Precision Screwdriver

Build your own digital watch and wear it with pride. This project introduces the oscillating crystal and demonstrates how it is used for timekeeping in electronics. A precision screwdriver is also included, as it's required for assembling the case in this project and many of the future projects in the series.

Two kits in this delivery! The Chasing LEDs Kit introduces circuit control using potentiometers and buttons, while the Smart Car Kit introduces the fundamentals of robotics. With plenty of component leads to trim during assembly, a quality pair of wire snips is included too.

Build your own digital alarm clock that also measures light level and temperature. This project demonstrates how electronic circuits can use sensors to obtain information about the environment. Additional solder wire is included to keep you supplied as you progress through the series.

Explore the fascinating world of sound waves by building a device that can levitate small particles using ultrasound. This project introduces sound transducer modules and demonstrates how more complex devices can be created by combining multiple circuit boards. It also introduces your first SMD components, so solder flux paste is included, because it makes soldering SMD components easier.

Two projects again in this delivery! These projects introduce more complex multi-board assemblies and build on the skills you've developed so far, including installing an SMD microprocessor. A desoldering pump is included to help you correct mistakes and remove excess solder when needed — an increasingly useful tool as your projects become more advanced.

Delivery 7

• Heart LED Kit

Build a heart-shaped flowing LED circuit and give it to someone you love! This project demonstrates how a microcontroller can create impressive lighting effects using relatively simple electronic components. It also introduces a boost converter module, which increases the voltage supplied to the circuit. No new tools are needed for this project.

• Ultrasonic Proximity Sensor Kit

Learn how components and techniques you've already encountered can be combined to create a device that measures and interacts with its surroundings. This project introduces the processing of electrical signals to produce useful measurements. Additional solder wire is included to keep you supplied for the remainder of the series.

Build your own 'Simon'-style memory game and challenge your friends to beat your score. This project introduces more complex PCB assembly, including components that must be mounted above the surface of the board. It also introduces new sound components, including an SMD sound chip and speakers. Desoldering wick is included to help correct alignment or soldering mistakes during assembly.

• Wi-Fi Weather Station Kit
• ESD Tweezers Set

Step into the world of the Internet of Things (IoT) with a weather station featuring a Wi-Fi connectivity module. You'll learn how electronic devices can connect wirelessly to the internet to retrieve data, just as many of the electronic devices we use every day do. The project also introduces an OLED display module, while the ESD tweezers help you work with the increasingly small SMD components used in the series.

• Electromagnetic Cannon Kit
• Wire Strippers

This project introduces inductors and coils and demonstrates how they can be used alongside other components to create magnetic fields and high-voltage electrical pulses. You'll also learn about concepts behind electromagnetism that have applications in technologies such as magnetic levitation. With a larger number of wires to prepare for this project, wire strippers are included with this delivery.

Delivery 12 - Final Project

• FM Radio kit

Bring everything you've learned together to build your own FM radio. The final project introduces several new components, including fine-pitch SMD components, while putting the skills you've developed throughout the series to use. Once complete, your radio can be powered by USB or batteries and tuned across the entire FM broadcast range. You'll use the tools you've collected throughout the subscription, with no new tools required.

Each kit comes with a detailed instruction manual to guide you through assembly, with clear step-by-step instructions and information on how the finished project works. All manuals can be accessed from our Instruction Manuals Downloads page. The password for each manual will be sent to your email after each kit is dispatched to you.

The manuals are designed to help you understand what you're building, not just tell you where to put each component. They include assembly guidance, component information, circuit explanations, troubleshooting, and usage instructions where applicable.

Q: What will I receive with each subscription delivery?
A: You'll receive a new electronics project kit from the progressive learning sequence. Each delivery includes the electronics kit plus any tools or additional materials scheduled for that stage of the subscription.

Q: How difficult are the kits?
A: The kits are designed to become progressively more challenging as you move through the subscription. You'll start with more accessible projects and gradually develop your soldering, electronics and assembly skills before moving on to more advanced projects.

Q: I have an active subscription; where can I change or cancel my subscription, change my delivery address, or change my payment details?
A: You can manage your subscription on the Subscription Management page. Here you'll be able to make changes such as skip deliveries, pause or cancel your subscription, and change your delivery address or payment details.

Q: I already own several of the kits or there are kits in the subscription that I do not want. Can I skip these in my subscription?
A: Yes. Let us know which kits you do not want and we'll skip them in your subscription and simply move you to the next kit in the sequence. This means you won't receive that kit, but you'll still receive a delivery for that billing period. Your subscription will continue through the remaining projects in the sequence. Please note that the tools are tied to each delivery in the subscription so skipping a kit will also mean skipping the tools that were to be provided with that particular kit.

Q: Can I subscribe without the tools?
A: Yes. If you already have the necessary soldering tools, you can choose the subscription plan without tools at a lower subscription cost. You can view the option without the tools by clicking HERE.

Q: Do I have to commit to a minimum number of deliveries?
A: No. There is no minimum subscription period. You can pause, resume or cancel your subscription at any time.

Q: When will I be charged?
A: You'll be charged automatically according to the billing frequency of the subscription plan you selected. We'll send you an email notification a few days before each billing cycle.

Q: Do the kits come with instructions?
A: Yes. Each kit includes an instruction manual with step-by-step assembly guidance, along with information about the components, circuit and finished project where applicable.

Q: What if I get stuck?
A: If you're having trouble with a project, contact us and we'll be happy to help. The kits are designed as learning projects, so asking questions along the way is part of the process.

Orders are processed for dispatch within 1–2 business days. All orders are being processed and delivered as normal. Typical delivery times following dispatch for this product, depending on region are:

Packaging

We aim to minimize waste while protecting your order. All electronic kits are securely packaged in padded mailing bags containing anti-static ESD bags and/or rigid plastic boxes (depending on the product) to ensure the safety of the electronic components.
