Thank you for choosing to shop with The Science Hut! We are committed to ensuring a smooth and hassle-free shopping experience for our valued customers. Please review our shipping policy below carefully prior to making a purchase.
Shipping Origins and Destinations
We currently ship our products to the regions detailed below. We ship products from multiple locations; our Warehouse in Ireland and from several International Warehouses. The location that each item ships from is detailed on the product page. For multiple item orders, your items may arrive in more than one shipment and on different dates, since they may be shipped from more than one location.
Please note: we will ship to P.O. boxes upon customer request. However, we cannot accept responsibility for delivery failures due to carrier limitations, package size constraints, or accessibility issues. If a package is returned as undeliverable, any associated return costs will be deducted from the customer's refund.
Orders shipped to hotels, campsites, RV parks, or other temporary accommodation must have arrangements in place to receive the delivery. We are not responsible for parcels that cannot be delivered due to the recipient having left the location or not having suitable delivery acceptance arrangements in place.

Order Processing
We strive to process orders for shipping as quickly as possible. Orders being shipped from our Irish Warehouse are processed from of 08:00 to 20:00 (GMT) daily and are typically processed within 1-2 business days. Orders being shipped from International Warehouses are typically processed within 1-3 business days. During peak seasons or holidays, processing times may be slightly longer, but we will do our best to keep you informed.
Shipping Fees and Time-frames
We offer a range of shipping options to cater to your needs. Shipping fees and estimated delivery times are detailed below. Shipping timelines remain unaffected by the current Middle East conflict. All orders are being processed and delivered as normal.
From time-to-time, we may offer free shipping on some items - this will be noted on the product pages for all qualifying products and will also be shown on the checkout page. Note that if your order includes items that qualify for free shipping along with other items that do not qualify for free shipping, shipping fees will continue to apply to the non-qualifying items.
We reserve the right to modify these shipping terms without notification; however, any changes to rates will apply only to future orders.
Ships from International Warehouse
All products shipped from an international fulfillment warehouse qualify for free shipping. Delivery times typically range from 5 to 21 days, depending on your location. Each product page includes a dropdown section titled “Shipping and Warranty Info”. There, you’ll find shipping estimates for that specific item, based on the actual delivery timelines from the past three months of orders.

Please note that the delivery times may vary depending on the destination, customs clearance, and any unforeseen circumstances. Unforeseen events that are beyond our control (such as strike action, conflicts, pandemics, natural disasters, trade disputes, etc.) may result in shipping delays - we do not accept responsibility for such delays.
Customs charges, Tariffs/Duties
In rare instances, your order may be subject to import duties, taxes, tariffs or other customs fees imposed by your country's authorities. These charges are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in the product or shipping costs. Please check with your local customs office for more information on these fees.
Address Accuracy
Please ensure that you provide accurate shipping information when placing your order as we ship to the address provided during checkout. We cannot be held responsible for any delivery issues that arise due to incorrect or incomplete addresses being provided.
Order Tracking
You will receive an email with your tracking number(s) (where available, see below for more info) once your order has been passed to our carrier for shipping. You can use your tracking number(s) to monitor the status and delivery progress of your package. Please allow up to 96 hours after placing your order for your tracking number to become available (this is to allow time for order processing and handover to the shipping company). Note: tracking numbers for US order may take up to 7 days to become available due to increased logistics processing requirements due to tariffs. If you have not received a tracking number within this time-frame, please contact us by emailing info@thesciencehut.com or by using our Contact Us form. Please note that international shipments may not display tracking updates until the package reaches your country and is processed and scanned by your local delivery service.
In some cases, our "Free Shipping" method does not include a tracking number. However, we monitor all in-progress orders daily through our internal logistics system, which allows us to track your parcel. If we notice anything unusual with your delivery—such as the package appearing to be stuck in transit—we’ll notify you right away and take appropriate action, whether that means reshipping your item or contacting the courier on your behalf. Rest assured, we actively monitor all orders through to final delivery, regardless of whether a tracking number has been provided.
Shipping Holidays
Please note that our shipping carriers may observe holidays, which could affect delivery times. We will make every effort to notify you of any potential delays during these periods. Keep an eye on the notification bar at the top of the site for announcements.
Returns and Refunds
Please note that our responsibility for your package ends once the package is confirmed as delivered to the address that you provided when placing your order.
