However, please just bear in mind that the kit includes some surface mounted components that are very small and can be challenging to work with—take a look at the image gallery to see all components included in this kit.
Q: Does it come with a power supply?
A: A power cable is included, but it requires a standard 5V DC USB power supply—e.g.: a PC/laptop USB port, a phone charger, a power bank, etc.
Q: Can I integrate this with other gadgets, such as a doorbell or motion detection camera, so it will flash when triggered?
A: Yes! The kit runs on 5V DC power, so it can be triggered by other devices that can safely provide 5V. The simplest method is using a relay or switch from your control circuit to turn the kit on when the gadget is activated.

Some components are quite small so a tweezers is required for manipulating them. You possibly already have a tweezers at home, but if not, we sell them here: ESD Tweezers.

Great kit, built it with my daughter, she even managed to solder in some of the SMD components by herself and she's never soldered before. We'll probably buy another few of these for the windows as part of our Halloween decorations this year!
