Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is this multimeter easy to use for beginners?
Yes, this multimeter is simple to operate with a clear display and straightforward dial. It’s ideal for beginners learning to measure voltage, resistance, or test batteries and components.
Can I use it for small DIY or electronics projects?
Absolutely. It's well-suited for electronics kits, Arduino projects, repairing devices, or checking wires, components, and circuits.
Does it require calibration before use?
No, it's factory-calibrated and ready to use out of the box. Just insert the battery (not included), plug in the test leads, and you're good to go.
Is this multimeter durable enough for daily use?
Yes, it features a sturdy plastic case and rubberized protective sleeve to handle light drops or knocks — perfect for bench work or a toolbox.
Does it come with test leads?
Yes, standard test probes are included so you can start measuring right away. Just plug them into the appropriate ports and select your desired test mode.
Can I use it for automotive or household troubleshooting?
Yes! This multimeter is great for testing car batteries, fuses, switches, wall outlets, and other everyday diagnostics. So it will come in handy for other applications around the house, aside from troubleshooting your DIY electronics hobby.
Do I need a multimeter for DIY electronics?
A multimeter isn’t absolutely essential when starting out — many beginners can build simple electronics kits without one. But as you gain experience, it becomes one of the most valuable tools in your kit. A multimeter lets you check voltages, test components, trace faults, and troubleshoot safely. Even basic DIY projects become far easier (and less frustrating) when you can quickly verify what’s working — and what isn’t.

Good accuracy and functionality. Would be better if it had auto-ranging—not a big deal, it only takes a second to turn the dial to the range of the component you're testing. It has all capabilities that you'd need for amateur electronics.
Hello Ronnie, thank you for taking the time to leave this review, we really appreciate it. Glad you're happy with the accuracy and functionality. We considered a model that included auto-ranging, but decided on this simpler one in order to ensure we could supply a multimeter that covered all the essential requirements for electronics hobbyists for the lowest cost. This model ticked all the boxes for our technical team.
Instructions are a little vague but if you already know how to use a multimeter, that won't really matter. Tested it on the mains power supply and on some cell batteries and it was accurate to within 0.5%.
For the price works well, it is light compared to my old brand models so seems a little fragile, will see in time.
