Great fun to build and play with

Great project for my nephew, it's his 3rd electronics kit from this store, I believe he's hooked :) he has it set up monitoring his computer so whenever anyone gets near it, the alarm sounds and he's up like a shot... he's found a few other uses for it too.

Easy to build with my grandson :)

Great! It is clear where to solder. My grandson fell asleep in an hour. I only helped with the body. It works and will even measure if there are no foreign objects in the zone.

You're right, the kit will display the distance to the nearest object it can find, so even if there's no objects in your set zone, the unit will still display the distance to objects that are outside your set zone... this way, it can also be used as a digital ultrasonic 'measuring tape'.
